This story begins with Marie. Marie needed to get her oil changed. So I suggested that she use her starving student card to get one because hey, who doens't like a great discount? So we started looking at the stupendous deals available to all owning such a card and realized that there's a whole stinking section for just free stuff! All you have to do is go pick it up! So we decided that we would make a trip around town and get all the free stuff. So me, Marie, her two friends Daniel and Joseph, Jennifer, her brother Daniel, my starving student card, and Marie's starving student card all loaded in Jennifer's car and started our free adventure. Here's what we got in order of getting them:
- One violin polishing and tonal adjustment
- 2 10-minute tans
- 2 plates of chips and salsa at Bajio's
- 2 Lion House Rolls
- 2 small fries from Dairy Queen
- 2 regular fries from Arctic Circle
- A failed attempt at getting 2 chocolate mousse cakes from Gandolfo's. I was bummed about that one.
- Nothing from Broulim's.... but we tried.
- 2 large pizzas from Domino's. (Technically we had to pay $4 a piece for both of those but it's still on the card and it was still a good deal, right?)
- 1 bag of Crazy Bread from Little Caesar's
- 3 JCPenney Catalogs
- 2 bagels from Uptown Bagel, untoasted and un-cream cheesed
- 2 frozen custards at BRCs. Yum.
- A failed attempt to get chocolates from Florence's. The line was just too long.
- 2 frozen yogurts from Millhollow
- 2 frozen custards and 1 large fry from the Backyard
- Another failed attempt at Pineapple Grill. It was closed...thank goodness.
- 2 sherbet twists from Hogi Yogi which were surprisingly refreshing.
Overall it was a way fun adventure. It took us like 3 hours and I wanted to puke my guts out afterwards but no worries, I'm still alive and well.
